Melanie has been in the education field for over 20 years and joined WHPS in 2006. She is a graduate of Harvard’s School Management & Leadership program and holds dual degrees in Elementary Education and Zoology, in addition to undergraduate work in Early Childhood Education. Melanie is a consummate advocate for students and families and has developed many of the unique aspects of the elementary program.

My mission is to inspire young minds to think deeply and question often, to be courageous and explore the world around them, to gain confidence in themselves and their special abilities, to gain a love of all living things, and to trust in the student-teacher relationship.
