Welcome
Dear prospective families,
I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome inviting you to become part of our tight-knit, inclusive, and diverse community. Our school is committed to striking the right balance between academic excellence and the holistic development of the whole child.
We offer a unique, personalized curriculum aligned with each student's strengths, interests, and current abilities. This presents students with opportunities for significant advancement in areas of strength and enables students and teachers to have a roadmap for success in any areas the student is developing toward proficiency. By tapping into students’ interests, we create a vibrant educational journey that encourages exploration and deep understanding. Our families and faculty value how the program balances academic rigor with social-emotional growth and continuous personal development, helping our students to become successful, grounded, well-rounded, happy human beings. We also understand that the greatest amount of academic learning happens when we prioritize belonging, connection, and a strengths-based focus.
While you can read about all the parts of our program on our website, I invite you to visit to experience the magic of the program, campuses, and community in action.
Warmly,
Seth Pozzi
Head of School
Dear prospective students,
As a student at WHPS, we promise to honor your individuality and genuinely appreciate you for exactly who you are. We care about helping you become your very best and are dedicated to helping you realize your boundless potential.
Preschool (Toddlers-Early TK)
During your time in preschool, you'll embark on a voyage fueled by an emergent curriculum. This means your educators will keenly observe your interests and customize instruction to align with them. Together, we'll explore the world's wonders, delve into self-discovery, and help you become an even more curious lifelong learner.
Elementary
From TK through fifth grade, your days will include exciting adventures, both solo and alongside your classmates. You will become an author, a reader, a mathematician, and a scientist; you will learn another language, play musical instruments, practice public speaking, and have many opportunities for fine arts and creative expression. Textbooks and assessments will still play a role, but real learning happens through social interaction, group activities, and projects. You will also learn to set and achieve many of your own goals. Learning to appreciate yourself, other people, and the environment will be a vital part of your education.
Our school is rooted in everything we believe is best for children, and we will put the same level of care into your learning journey as we would for our own families.
Sincerely,
Seth Pozzi
