Our History

Woodland Hills Private School (WHPS) was founded in 1975 to educate children whose parents believed that one size does not fit all.  Starting with 25 preschool and kindergarten students at the Collins campus, WHPS staff and parents worked together to recognize and value each child's individual unique traits and bring out their greatest potential.  Over the years, with overwhelming support of our families, the school has grown to serve over 500 students. The elementary division was established in 1990 and and eventually expanded to the Oxnard campus (formerly Farm School). WHPS continues to be one of the most coveted schools in the West San Fernando Valley.

WHPS has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1996 and is proudly a R.O.S.E. Award (Recognizing Outstanding Schools in Education) recipient from the Governor of California.
