Community Service Events

Woodland Hills Private School students are involved with many community and civic activities. These activities are open to all students and families.

Student Leadership Committees - Instead of Student Council (only a few students serve as leaders) we use a Student Leadership Committee model (every student can be a leader in an area of passion). All Upper Elementary (2nd-5th grade) students participate on a leadership committee. Because of this structure, different initiatives may be added each year. Below are some of the events that occur in a typical year.

  • Homeless Care Packages
  • Visit(s) to Home for Ageing (Spanish & Music Presentations)
  • Participation in WHPS Sponsored AIDS/Lifecycle Training Rest Stop
  • The Math-A-Thon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
  • Mending Kids
  • Red Ribbon Week
  • UNICEF
  • Food Drive
  • Clothing Drive
  • Jump for Heart
  • Toy Drive in Partnership w/Grape St. Elementary in Watts
  • Environmental Activities
  • Poster Contests
  • Student Government Events/Drives
